Often times, my pieces start by mentally zooming in on the larger picture. The Living Colors Series is a perfect example of that; drawing inspiration from the chemical reactions, minerals, microbes, and thermophiles that are found in certain pools. Each pool is unique, even when they interconnect to form levels and terraces. From far away, they appear as one continuous landscape, but when viewed up close, each has its own personality and unique properties.
Living Colors #2 is a 12" x 12" kiln glass block with organic edges. It is unframed but complete with mounting hardware, ready to hang.
